Entry into Denmark

The City of Aarhus is well connected to numerous destinations worldwide via its two international airports. With more than 60 direct routes and 540 one-stop connections, the city is easily accessible.
The airports are Aarhus Airport (AAR) and Billund Airport (BLL).
When arriving at either airport, you will have your luggage within a few minutes and can quickly continue your journey by shuttle bus, car or taxi. The buses at Billund Airport depart every hour and at Aarhus Airport, shuttle buses departs within minutes of every flight arrival. The shuttle will take you directly to the city centre. If you arrive at Copenhagen Airport, you can continue to Aarhus with one of the many daily flights or continue your journey by train (every hour) or by car.

- Distance from Billund Airport to the convention venue: 93 KM / 1 hours drive.
- Distance from Aarhus Airport to the convention venue: 42 KM / 40 minutes’ drive.
When in Aarhus, everything is within walking distance and it is easy getting around on foot, by bike, light rail or bus. If you arrive at the train station it is only a few minutes’ walk before arriving at your hotel or at the venue. From here, at your doorstep, you have the opportunity to experience a vibrant city life with restaurants, shopping and cultural experiences
Billund Airport is well connected to Europe and international hubs; As the second largest airport in Denmark it has 50 direct routes & 540 one-stop destinations to the world.

540 one-stop options via 11 European hub airports gives easy access to/from overseas destinations in North and South America, Asia and Africa. As an example, on a daily basis, Billund Airport is connected with the following cities; New York 20 times daily, Chicago 12 times daily, Moscow 17 times daily, Shanghai 10 times daily, Singapore 10 times daily and Delhi 7 times daily.
Bridged with Munich as a Star-Alliance hub, connecting with more than 30 daily one-stop destinations from Europe and overseas.
Aarhus Airport is well connected, especially to other Scandinavian cities with direct routes to Oslo, Gothenburg and Stockholm. Direct destinations include: Manchester, Munich, Oslo, Gothenburg, Stockholm, Berlin, Rome and London.
Up to 10 daily flights each way to/from Copenhagen Airport.
In 2018, SAS opened new routes to Oslo and Stockholm adding 20 new one-stop destinations in Norway and 20 in Sweden/Finland via Stockholm.

Hamburg Airport is like the other airports very well connected to more than 100 destinations primarily within Europe and a few long hauls such as Dubai and Tehran. If you arrive at Hamburg airport, you can easily continue on a direct train to Aarhus.
To Aarhus by train
Aarhus is mainly connected to Europe by a railway hub in Hamburg, and reached within 4 hr. 20 min. With eight daily departures and four direct departures every day, it is easy getting from Hamburg to Aarhus by train. From Hamburg you will also find connections to larger European cities and within 14 hours you can reach Aarhus by train from a great part of Europe - Munich, Amsterdam, Brussels, Frankfurt, Prague, Paris, Berlin and Vienna.
